You figure that if you could find out how they are doing it then you could also do what they are doing. You’re even willing to settle for a lot less money that these guys claim to make.

Once their development is completed though, they can be sold a million times without it costing the owner any more production costs. That is a huge advantage over a traditional retail store that sells tangible products.
The cost of overhead is far less for an online business than it is for even a small local mom and pop shop. The rent is whatever your hosting costs are. The staff is you and anyone you outsource work to. You might purchase a couple tools of the trade or subscribe to some services to expedite your SEO efforts. But otherwise, your overhead is non-existent.
So, in short the answer is yes. Internet marketing is for real. It is going on right in front of your face without you even realizing it. The real marketers are the people who are selling tons of products in niches that relate to highly motivated people. These are niches that usually involve health, financial matters or relationships of some kind. They make money because the market for their material is huge. Plus, they have found a successful way of prodding people’s fears and desires enough to convince them to buy something. They create an entire business model to automate the process of selling a product to a certain type of person. Then they drive as much traffic as possible into that business model until it fails to sell any more product.
